I have spent the day working on my photography skills, and I have to say- I am feeling really good about http://www.bigstockphoto.com.

I uploaded about 50 photos from my Sunday photo shoot at the park and I got most of them approved. It was so redeeming for me.

Am I very skilled? FAR from it.

However, when the subject jumps in front of my camera, once in awhile I luck out and get a good shot. I literally took 300 pictures today.

I uploaded the ones I felt looked best. I guess they agreed, because they approved them for show on the site.

So- now I wait. I don’t know how popular that site is for folks trying to sell stock photos, but I suppose it doesn’t matter as long as my images are popular.. lol.

I won’t hold my breath folks.

I realize there are TONS of skilled photographers out there, and I will not even try to compare myself to them.

However, if I can make a few bucks from selling some rather mundane, but usable pictures, I will feel happy with my skill level.

At the end of the day, I want to have fun and festive pictures of my daughter to enjoy. If I make some money on that website, I will feel content.

It is just another way to pick up some cash here and there.

I suspect I will need a giant portfolio on their site to really make more than a few bucks a month. But I can certainly take the time to upload the pictures I take as I learn. There is really nothing spent but time.

In the mean time, you can enjoy one of the rejected photos.

They said it was over or underexposed. If it is, it is not because I did anything to make it that way. I had the dang thing on auto.

I have so much to learn….
